January 01, 1997The Mobilization of Civil Society, the Increase of Consciousness and Awareness to Fight CorruptionThis paper involves a study that addressed different elements of corruption in Lebanese politics and administration and the role civil society can play in implementing new and more effective democratic practices in Lebanon and prioritizing citizens' rights to effective administrative services at a minimum cost. Through a number of surveys and interviews of employees in administrative positions, LCPS was able to gain insight on how certain corrupt procedures and briberies occur between citizens and employees.
