Towards a Social and Human Sciences Strategy for the Arab States Region

A report aimed at developing the preparation of a Social and Human Science (SHS) strategy for UNESCO in the Arab region. It discusses important topics related to knowledge-building, social change, human advancement, and efficient policy-making in Arab societies. Additionally, the report highlights key initiatives and measures for UNESCO to support, such as promoting the Arab social science research community and developing its leading research institutions and their ability to network, communicate, and interact with decision makers and civil society at large.
The report constituted a background document for the preparation of an SHS-UNESCO strategy for the Arab region and was prepared in collaboration with the UNESCO Regional Office.
