A book presenting papers from a 2002 workshop titled "National Statistics and Development in Lebanon". The workshop contributed to an informed public debate that explored the main challenges in gathering statistics in Lebanon. It also discussed the recent initiative to improve the current state of statistics, what should be done to improve Lebanon's integration into the global economy, and Lebanon’s comparative advantage in the expanding world of knowledge economy and information technology.
