June 01, 2005The New Media and Socio-Political Change in the Arab WorldLCPS hosted a workshop which brought together academics, media professionals, and media experts to discuss Arab media, with a focus on satellite media. Other topics includedsatellite, political, social and entertainment programs, media ethics, and the future of Arab media. The workshop also had a session devoted to examining the impact print and television media have had on political events in Lebanon.
The results of the conference will be published in a book entitled:
The New Media and Sociopolitical Change in the Arab World.
The workshop was co-sponsored by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung.
