Administrative Reform in Lebanon: Approaches to the Challenge of Change

This workshop was opened by H.E. Mr. Karim Pakradouni, Minister for Administrative Development. Key actors in the public sector, the policy and research communities, the business community, civil society and from institutions concerned reviewed some of the major problems of the Lebanese administration. They discussed how administrative reforms could help build a more efficient and strategic public sector as well as how a reformed public sector could enable Lebanon to face the challenges of increasing international competition, ensure the requirements for moving into the new economy, and provide the conditions for balanced and sustainable development.
