The Byblos Autumn School 2003 Ethno-Religious Conflict and Modes of its Regulation

This was the second session of the Byblos Autumn School on “Ethno-Religious Conflict and Modes of its Regulation”, which was held in Germany. Eminent specialists of different fields provided inputs to the session. Invitations to participate were extended to a limited number of Chinese, Congolese, Egyptian, Jordanian, Lebanese, Senegalese, and South African intellectuals and analysts. Participants in the Autumn School examined case studies on causes of conflict internationally, addressed different modes of conflict regulation, and tested some of these modes in simulation exercises.

This conference was organized in coordination with the UNESCO International Center for Human Science, the University of Freiburg and the Arnold Bergstraesser Institut.
