July 02, 1999Judges in Lebanon: Prospects and ChallengesThis conference aimed at improving Lebanon’s Judiciary by identifying and discussing the structure of the judicial institute and its relationship with the Judiciary, the selection procedure of judges, the training procedure of new judges, the status of women in the Judiciary, and the professional and educational development of judges.
Following the conference, the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies (LCPS) published the presentations and recommendations in a book titled
The Judges in Lebanon: Challenges and Perspectives.
The conference was organized by the LCPS in collaboration with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and under the auspices of the Minister of Justice.
