Political and Economic Impacts of Lower Oil Prices on the Middle East

The conference will address the political and economic impacts of the new oil price dynamics on the Middle East as well as how to reduce these countries’ vulnerabilities to oil price volatility. The conference will gather senior policymakers, including members of parliaments from several Arab countries, economists, experts in the oil and gas industry, CSOs, and journalists to discuss these challenges on both regional level and in specific countries. It will provide a forum for highly interactive debates, showcasing original thinking, policy experience, and emerging practices especially in relation to improvement in governance and economic diversification.
