The Arab Uprising: Domestic Consequences and International Reactions

LCPS organized two roundtable discussions concerning the domestic consequences of the Arab uprisings and how the events have been received internationally. During the first session, issues discussed included causes of the uprising, the types of regimes expected to emerge, and the role of the international community in the transition process. The second roundtable focused primarily on what action the European Union should take regarding the uprising. Both events were attended by local and international scholars, experts, and diplomats.
The roundtables were supported by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung office in Amman, Jordan.
