Knowledge Hub for the Oil & Gas Sector

This project aims to empower key Lebanese civil society organizations to successfully partake in promoting good—transparent, accountable and effective—governance of Lebanon’s fledgling natural resource sector and to hold the government accountable in its management of extractive industry revenues.
 
Together with Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI), LCPS incubated a knowledge hub specialized in natural resources governance, providing education, training, and mentorship to key players from oversight bodies in the region, although it initially focused on Lebanon.
 
Outcomes:
- An eight-day training for public sector officials, CSOs, and media representatives from across the MENA region.
- A policy paper, a policy brief, and an article conveying research
- A survey on the oil and gas sector
- Infographics on survey findings (the survey was conducted in 2015)
