Supporting the Capacity of Civil Society to Adopt a Mechanism to Ensure Transparency and Accountability in Oil and Gas Extraction and Revenue Distribution

This project aims to support the capacity of civil society in monitoring the oil and gas sector by promoting and strengthening the role of civil society, media representatives, and other activists in facilitating the initiation of the extractive process and properly monitoring the government, as well as advocating for transparency and accountability in the sector.
 
The project goals will be achieved through:
-          Supporting the creation of a civil society network that will monitor and pressure the Lebanese Government concerning proper management of the oil and gas sector by advocating transparency and accountability in the sector
-          Raising the awareness of civil society, media representatives, and other activists to deal with the exploitation, management, and impact of the oil and gas sector on Lebanon
