Paving the Road for a New Decentralization Law

Building on extensive experience in policy and advocacy work on local governance issues,
LCPS is implementing a project aimed at paving the way for a new decentralization law through broad-based awareness-raising and consensus-building campaign on decentralization.
To advance this goal, specific project objectives are to: 
 
· Establish a civil society coalition to coordinate campaign activities and increase pressure on the central government to take steps towards decentralization
· Influence decision-makers and opinion leaders’ perceptions of decentralization through an advocacy campaign designed to address concerns and misconceptions
· Influence the public discourse by raising awareness and fostering debate on decentralization issues through a series of public debates, media outreach and information tools.
