Building the Capacity of Municipalities and Promoting Refugees’ Agency
LCPS launched this project to improve the capabilities of local governments hosting Syrian refugee communities as they address challenges regarding inclusive development. The refugee crisis in Lebanon laid bare the inadequacy of the central government in handling such an influx, causing local municipalities to become overwhelmed in many cases, specifically concerning the type and amount of services they could offer.
