A floating Electricity Plant Divides Lebanon As Lebanon’s residents know all too well, the country suffers from an acute shortage of state-provided electricity. Planned power plant upgrades have not materialized and the power barges which were brought in as a stopgap measure to satisfy the country’s power consumption needs are taking on a more permanent presence along Lebanon’s shoreline.
