Syria: The Unbearable Crisis LCPS director, Sami Atallah, was interviewed by Rebecca Lowe from the International Bar Association. The Lebanese and Syrian communities are culturally close but divided. Intermarriages are common, but long-term sectarian and socio-economic hostilities continue to drive a wedge between the sibling nations.
