Towards an Environmental Policy for Lebanon
This conference examined Lebanon’s environmental problems and various policy options that would contribute to increased environmental management and monitoring. Participants discussed the roles of the government, local and international NGOS, and legislation in addressing environmental concerns.
Discussions contributed to a book published in 1997 by the LCPS titled, "Towards an Environmental Policy in Lebanon."
The conference was organized by LCPS in cooperation with the Netherlands Organization for International Development (NOVIB) and teh Fares Foundation.
