Budgetary Politics in Lebanon The Lebanese Economic Tribune (LET)
This seminar focused on key issues concerning the budget, including the deficit problem, debt standards, expenditure revenue, taxation, and independent funds and their monitoring.
As part of a larger research and conference program titled, “The Lebanese Economic Tribune (LET),” the seminar sought to guide research on the issues discussed. The seminar’s discussions contributed to a 1996 report titled, “Budgetary Politics in Lebanon: A Memorandum for Public Discussion.”
The seminar was organized by the LCPS in collaboration with the International Center for Economic Growth (ICEG), the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), and the Economic Development Institute (EDI) of the World Bank.
