Foresight for Conflict Prevention in the Middle East
LCPS and CMI (Crisis Management Initiative) held a joint workshop around the theme 'Foresight for Conflict Prevention in the Middle East'. The workshop gathered a number of decision makers who discussed and reflected about the design of policies aimed at addressing the main sources of social, economic and political instability in Lebanon. The policies had to be analyzed in terms of feasibility, novelty and according to their impact on security, economy, social cohesion and political stability of the country. The objective of the workshop was to equip decision makers with a methodology that helps them highlight the best choices of policies to be made.
The workshop is part of a project conducted by CMI and involving Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon around the theme of conflict prevention in the Middle East.
